Hello everyone. If you are reading this it’s time to get out on the lake with McNabb Fishing Guide Service. I went out on October 22, my birthday, with my son, grandson, and his friend. We had a great day even though it was quite windy. We caught 35+ small mouth and BIG channel cat and one striper. The water temp is hovering around 70 degrees but it will be falling into the 60’s shortly. We were hoping to catch some on top water but that didn’t happen, the water was a little too choppy. We used swim baits and double tail hula grubs throwing them out on rocky points and inlets in water 4 to 20 feet deep, letting it wink then retrieving it slowly, jerking it occasionally. My son Paul took some clients out on the same day and they caught over 30 stripers and cat fish using anchovies about 40 to 70 feet down. on October 24 he went out again and caught 17+. After a storm front movers thru sometimes the fishing isn’t that a great but 17or so is still a good half day of fishing. On October 26 he went out and hauled in over 30 again. Fishing is still good. If you are thinking about going fishing choose the best guides on the lake, guides who knows where the fish are and will help you catch a bunch. We give 5 hours for a half day. Other guides give you 4 hours. Call Mike at 928-660-1020.
