I woke up this morning to 3″-4″ of snow on the ground! The streets were slushy and the gutters were running with water. My wife and I went down to the bridge and I took a picture of the waterfall that happens when there is a hard rain or a constant flow of water. It was flowing today, not a lot but I did geta picture of it. My son Paul had three fishing trips December 1, 2, 3, 2022. The first day they caught 22 stripers, the next day 77 stripers, and the next day 50 stripers, they would have caught more but the group wanted to take a boat ride into Antelope Canyon. The stripers were fat and healthy, some were 5 to 6 #’s. They did catch a couple of channel cats, one that was almost 10#’s! The water temperature was 54-55 degrees. They fished about 45 to 50 feet deep just off the bottom using frozen anchovies. He did a lot of chumming. Paul also had fishing trip December 31st. The water temp was now 45 degrees and that made a big difference in the bite. He saw lots of stripers on the graph but they wouldn’t bite. It could have been the time of day, but after 5 hours they only caught 2 stripers. I believe the fishing will get better once the temps get back up around 53-55 degrees.
