About Captain Mike

You have found” THE BEST GUIDES ON LAKE POWELL”. We have LIVED in PAGE and FISHED LAKE POWELL FOR OVER 43 YEARS!! WE GIVE 5 HOURS FOR A HALF DAY AND 9 HOURS FOR A FULL DAY!

I started my fishing guide business in 2005. I retired from teaching in 2002 but returned to Page High School to teach Driver Education part-time (every other day), for the next six years. During my teaching career I have taught every grade level as a Physical Education teacher and 6th and 7th grade math and science. While teaching at Page High School for 26 years I coached Track and Field for 20 years, Football for 5, Basketball 5 and Baseball 2. I was involved in Boy Scouts for 6 years as an Advancement Chairman and Scoutmaster. Growing up I earned my Eagle Scout award and I wanted my sons and others to  experience the good times scouting has to offer. Both of my sons earned their Eagle Scout award and have lots of great memories. I also coached Little League for 3 years and served the city of Page as a volunteer Fireman for 6 years and an EMT for 2 years.

 God, my family, loved ones and friends are the most important things in my life, fishing is right up there too!

I love taking people fishing and watching them catch their first fish or their hundredth. I enjoy children of all ages. Kids always have a great time on my boat. I hope to take you out for a Lake Powell experience someday soon. I am looking forward to showing you a great fishing trip on Lake Powell!

Our trip out to Lake Powell was a blast thanks to Mike. He was able to take us out with fairly little notice and really made it an enjoyable experience. My kids were able to catch fish using artificial lures and have been asking to fish more ever since. He was great with the children and extremely knowledgeable. Mike even took some additional time to let the kids swim some. I will definitely use his services next time we are out there. Thanks!

My wife and I have been fishing Lake Powell for many years with Mike Mcnabb. We wwouldnever go fishing here with anyone else. I'm a severely handicapped vet and Mike has always gone out of his way to accomodate my needs. Mike makes the trips fun for Barb and I. He knows so much about the lake itself and it's fishing. We have caught well over 100 stripers a day on most of our trips. We only keep the ones that Mike says will be good eating looking for those fat and healthy. My husband & I on October 16th met our fishing guide, Paul McNabb at 6:15 am at the State Line boat ramp to explore and fish Lake Powell. Paul was not your typical guide, he was extremely knowledgeable of the area, the history of the canyons and most of all put us on fish immediately We caught strippers and smallmouth bass fish. My husband and I are avid anglers and Paul knew his stuff, we could tell he had ample years of experience on this body of water. We highly recommend Paul if your looking for a legal registered Captain and experienced fishing guide. We hope to come back to Lake Powell and if course we know who we'll call, Paul McNabb.

This is the best way to experience lake Powell. Our guide Paul knows the lake, knows where the fish are and knows how to make a trip enjoyable. We caught over 80 fighting bass and then Paul took us sight seeing. Paul was very knowledgeable about the lake and the fish in the lake. We highly recommend this company for a great experience.
